June 20 to 21 - Wahoo Bay Beach

We survived the drive back towards the city and made a stop at Wahoo Bay Beach.  We arrived just in time for supper.  We placed our order, unloaded the trucks and headed to our rooms.  We were led to a set of newly renovated rooms.  Dad and Jeff were in a room.  Karen, Mom and I were in a room.  Uncle Mel, Aunt Marsha and Matt were in a room.  Mandie and James had their own room.  We had a common porch overlooking the water.  This is the view looking out at the mountains.  Looking to the left, we were looking out at the water!

After unloading, settling in our rooms and having a delicious supper, we hung out on our private porch just in time for a storm to blow in.  Jeff was tying to get a shot with lightning but it did not work out.  this is what he got instead.

We spent the rest of our time swiming, eating, swimming some more, relaxing, reading, napping and swimming some more.  We had breakfast on Monday on our porch and afterwards we spent an hour or so just talking.  Someone asked about Grandpa Schmid and that is when Dad shared his memories of those few days surrounding the accident and funerals (See the bottom of the post for June 19 to 20 for details).

The days at Wahoo were wonderful.  A great way to end a roadtrip that took us all over the country.
