Mountain House

The Mountain House was on the mountain beside Fermate. We spent a lot of time up there. It was "cold". For us, 70 is cold so it got pretty cool for us up there. We would bring long pants and sweatshirts, blankets for the beds and have a fire in the fireplace.

It always smelled a bit musty to me but I think that was part of the charm of the place. :0)

There is a church at the entrance of the drive. The house was built on a small plateau off the hillside. There was a big retaining wall that created a yard at the front of the house. The house was built almost into the hillside. There was only a small walkway behind the house.

We used to hike in the ravine. We spent a lot of time hiking, playing board games, putting together puzzles and reading. It was really a great place to relax.
